V&A Museum Hanbok Documentaries

In late 2022 Moktan was contracted to create two films about contemporary hanbok design for the Victoria & Albert Museum’s HALLYU exhibition that runs from 2022 to mid-2023.

As a video production company based in Seoul, we were tasked with creating two documentaries on the craft, culture, and ethos behind modern hanbok design. For us, this was a great opportunity to visually portray the inspirational Korean designers and the rich culture in which they are working.

(Below) The final interview images from the two cameras.

Both Tchai Kim and Seonock Park, the two featured designers, were incredibly gracious with their time and energy and this allowed to create two immersive and visually stunning films that document this important part of the cultural history of South Korea.

Our film production company loves working on inspiring projects such as these and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in the shoot for their time and services!
