UNESCO Global Teacher Awards

In 2020, the Moktan Productions team produced a film for the world-renowned organisation UNESCO. The video focuses on a very inspirational South Korean teacher, Yun Jeong-Hyun, who was named a top ten finalist for the Global Teacher Prize in 2020.
The awards were hosted by Stephen Fry and our work on the Korean leg of the project gave a voice to the amazing work Mr. Yun has been doing in the economically neglected region of Jangheung, South Korea.
For this shoot, we traveled to a rural region of Jeolla province. Meeting Mr. Yun and his students for this project was an absolute pleasure, we were welcomed very warmly by the whole community. Production went very smoothly in large part thanks to everyone at the school being so helpful, hardworking, and diligent. As a video production service, we were really delighted to be a part of this initiative that honours the sometimes undervalued but crucial contribution that teachers make.
For all the staff at Moktan Productions who, as a film production company in South Korea, normally spend our time working on larger commercial projects in Seoul, it was a great experience to help recognise and celebrate the great work being done in this rural region by Mr. Yun. His hard work and talent are genuinely helping to create a better future for the children with whom he works.
